I know the coaches preach this and that, but there are simply too many variables in the NFL to make that sort of cast iron plan and not allow for deviation when the situation changes. Chad Henne playing terrible, game losing, Gabbert level football (which he shouldn't do) is a change in situation which requires a reaction. Not being in win now mode is not a reason to ignore something like that.

 

Like I said, I think Henne will probably and hopefully continue where he left off. He was playing some decent football the end of last year and hopefully the team around him should be a little better so it will never get to the point where Chad is playing bad enough to be yanked and the coaches can wait for their idea moment.

 

Its an agree to disagree point, but plans are that, plans, not actions. They have to allow for the reality of the situation. If I need to go to Miami and the roads are closed, I can't just jump in my car because I planned to drive.
