If the Jaguars won the Superbowl would you still be a fan?

I think I understand where the OP is coming from. Some who post on here certainly give off a vibe of enjoying the "us against the world" and the "I was a Jaguar fan before it was cool." And many would no longer feel abused by the national media. What would some people have to whine about?

My only concern with sustained success, assuming it happens in my lifetime, would be the cost increase associated with winning. I've been able to hang on as an original STH through thick and a lot of thin. If costs for a season ticket go up due to demand it would be a nice problem for the Jags bottom line, but a real problem for me and I suspect many others.

But - we'll deal with all that when and if we get there. I just want to feel that edge, that tightness in your gut before a big game. You know, a game that matters. It's been a long time coming.

First, I think we will ALWAYS be abused by the national media.  Even if we win the Super Bowl, they will say something to the effect it was the least interesting Super Bowl...yada yada yada.

Yeah...there seems to be plenty here who take pleasure in being "under the radar."

I don't.  Being under the radar means people aren't paying attention, and that's usually the case when you are bad.

I have been fortunate enough to make my 20th year as a STH, and a raise in ticket prices due to demand because we somehow won back to back Super Bowls would make my tickets more expensive.  But, if it somehow got too expensive for me to go under those circumstances, I could take solace in the fact we'd be a much healthier, more stable franchise.  Blackout talk would disappear from the lexicon once and for all.  The team will have the clout and good will enough to build a new stadium.  The networks wouldn't make the predictable cut to break or intervew of someone else when we are on the clock during draft day.  Have all kinds of prime time games....and have those big shiny trophies in our trophy case.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!
