I dont care if people dislike soccer. I laugh when so many (mostly older white) people feel the need to constantly remind us that they don't care about soccer.

Basketball is actually the only sport that was developed solely in North America. Hockey, football and baseball all have their roots in sports first played in Europe but basketball was invented in the USA.

 

I know you were aiming more for a "where is the sport currently played" kind of thing but I thought it was an interesting something to share.
