Does the first person to ever kick a ball get credit for inventing soccer? No.

Does the first person to roll a ball get credit for inventing bowling? No.

Does the first person to ever throw a ball in water get credited for inventing water polo? No.

 

 

The fact that the idea came from a game in England played without gloves, with an 18 inch stick, where the batter must run whether they hit the ball or not does not change the fact that baseball was invented in the United States.
