The problem with world cup officials, is that they are from the 32 participating countries, so how can you expect an official from a small country with a part-time league to perform as well as officials from your big leagues in Europe? Imagine high-school referees in the NFL.. oh that happened.

 

The history of FIFA refs and bribery is too much to ignore.

 

From what I've seen the officials here have been pretty good, but there are little things they can do to change the game as well.  I'm thinking in general, especially for penalty kick calls, red cards, and possibly to a point yellow cards should get a review. 

 

Someone asked what you would do because of the flow of the game....stop the game.  I think everyone can agree that they would want the correct call to be made instead of an error changing the game.
