A lot of times, his injuries would keep his numbers just low enough to put him beneath the 3 top AFC RB's....enough so that you could actually make legitimate arguments against Fred making the pro bowls in a lot of those years. Was there a legit snub or 2? I'm sure there was....but most of that is because the Jags were simply a bad team during many of those years too. More pro bowl players come from playoff level teams than not as a general rule anyway. If the Jags get good and Bortles becomes the real deal, I can almost guarantee you that the Jags will have multiple pro bowl players perennially for a while. |
