That doesn't necessarily matter. You can become ineligible without ever playing a game.

 

You can only be on a practice squad for 3 years. It used to be if you were on the practice squad for more than 2 games it counted as a year. They just raised that number to six games.

 

I've read reports that said he was ineligible and read reports that said he was eligible. Maybe he would have accrued 3 years under the old rules but not accrued three years under the new rules.
