Jags predicted "under the radar" to make playoffs

#48

Quote:You've been opining the fact that they're starting Henne, and you're trying to craft injury or performance scenarios in order to get him pulled when the reality is the coaching staff will make the change when they feel the time is right.  It's not going to be driven by Henne's performance, and nobody should be hoping for Henne to be injured.  There's no rush to put Bortles under center this year because there are no expectations beyond improvement in 2014.  Bortles will start when he starts.  No amount of fan complaining is going to change that.
I'm not crafting anything. You're trying to craft an argument for arguments sake. Which is no surprise to someone who comes here often enough. I know the "reality" is the coach staff will "make the change when they feel the time is right".

My gut feeling is they will feel it is right when this team slides into a hole caused by poor Henne play.

If Henne plays all 16 games, you won't find my claiming I know better blah blah blah.

Yes.... I do think Blake should start now. So what? So does half a dozen talking heads on ESPN. And a whole blog site that follows this team. And some posters on here.

Do I think my opinion has any effect on when or whether Bortles starts? No.

If Henne is starting in week 6 will I fill the board with nonsensical threads of hijacking? No. It ain't what I do.

But when the debate comes up, as it surely will, I will stand by my opinion. There is no pressure on this staff to win now you say? Well that is weak. They should want to win. The players surely do. The city wants them to.

No pressure to win, but winning is what everyone wants. Bortles gives them a better chance to win, in my humble lowly message boarder opinion.

I've always been a big supporter of playing the best guy. Bortles>Henne

Quote:Sometimes you can't tell on here. You seem to be one of those staunch "start Blake now" guys.

I'd advise emoticons or something to at least suggest that you weren't being serious with that.
I am a staunch start Blake now. But I would never wish injury on anyone in seriousness. Even Tom Brady.
