Jags predicted "under the radar" to make playoffs

In the end, Bortles will start regardless of how Henne is doing once he's ready.
Yeah I get that. That's why I said I never said they were pressured. But they WANT to win. By wanting to, they'll make a move (i believe it'll be sooner than later) to make a change in the team. Now, with the way they've played their hand they can say "Oh it isn't because we're 0-4 and Henne sucks, it's because Blake is magically more ready now in week 5 than he was at the end of preseason" which may be true.

But for you to say Bortles will start regardless of how Henne is doing is false.

If Henne is leading this team to a winning record, there is no way you pull him if "Bortles is ready".

That's why I find the "When Bortles is ready" thing to be bogus coach speak. Not that I am knocking Gus and Dave for it. Every team does it. Coach speak hedges your bets, and keeps you clean in the media, and usually leaves you a back door.

Like Alex Smith was the "guy" in San Fran... until he wasn't.

Bortles is ready now. The coaching staff just isn't ready to pull the trigger. For whatever reason.

I'm fine with that.... I've endured many losing seasons. And plenty of Henne. I can deal with it.

Bortles is just as ready now as he will be in week 3, 7, or 15

The Oline MAY improve more. Since they just named some starters and there will be more shifting at RT and possibly C later in the season when guys are healthy and such.

But as I've said before, the Oline won't hold Bortles back. They may hold back Toby and Drob, but Bortles will make plays despite the line.

Henne will check it down because of the Oline.

Bortles may not check out of a play and into the right one all the time. But he'll make the throws Henne can't (or won't).

I understand what they're doing. Pressure free, blah blah blah. We're the Jaguars... there isn't a whole lot of expectations for Bortles to ruin with rookie play. Just play the kid.
