My memories of the Jags/ Lions are of Garrard coming in and winning a game in OT with a TD pass play to Jimmy Smith or Alvis Whitted, IIRC. That was 2004-ish. 
 

It was relatively late in the 1998 season...the week before the Jaguars clinched the division.

 

I remember being upset with Coughlin because Brunell got injured on a play where the protection called for Pete Mitchell-NOT a blocking TE-to slide over and block the Lions' DE (I want to say Robert Porcher).  Brunell hurt his ankle on the play and missed the next game or two.

 

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!
