The point is that home teams still are utilizing the advantage of forcing the opponent to wear their darks in early season games. This is a fact.

Really, you just need to let it go.  There really is no "advantage" regarding the color of jersey/uniform that a team wears.  IF there is some kind of "advantage" regarding uniform color due to heat/sunlight/temp it's probably more mental than physical.  I don't know where you get the "fact" from regarding teams selecting uniform colors, but I would guess that it has little to do with having some kind of "advantage".

 

One thing to point out that is somewhat related...  I remember a game ironically against the Eagles when Donovan McNabb puked during the 4th quarter of the game while under center.  It was a hot September game, but I would guess that he overheated not so much because of uniform color, but more likely because he didn't properly hydrate himself along with how the game was played.

 

One other note...  I seem to recall certain Jaguars players in the past either suffering cramps (due to heat and dehydration) or having to get an IV in the locker room during halftime.  IIRC Maurice Jones Drew was one of them.
