I get where you are coming from, but yet the logical side comes out in me.

 

These players are "professionals" and as such, they are expected to be fully prepared.  Being prepared means not only hydrating the body, but also having your head in the game.  If it get's into your head that the dark color uniform put's you at a disadvantage, then you aren't a PROFESSIONAL.

 

My guess is that the color of uniform is not decided by a coaching staff, rather it's probably decided from a "uniform staff".  If the color of uniform is a "coaching decision", then the team must really suck or be really desperate.
