As mediocre as Henne is, he didn't get any help from the offensive line. Whiffed blocks on pass protection (yeah, I'm looking at you, McLendon) and poor run blocking in our ZBS made Henne look more mediocre than he really is. That said, Henne looked lost in the 2nd half, when he wasn't running for his life. Poor clock management (could be some fault of the coaching staff here), poor decision making, and overthrows (like the one to Marcedes on 4th down) hurt this team.
At this point, I'd like to see Bortles play, but that wouldn't be a good idea considering the lack of consistency on the offensive line. Let them jell, then put the kid in... |
