I believe we wilted in the second half because of a lack of belief and mental toughness as much as anything.

And you have to give credit to the Eagles too - they are a very good team.

 

Both excellent points.  I honestly thought that we were going to get blown out bad for the whole game.  I was beside myself watching the performance in the first half.  I even turned to my wife and asked "OK, who are these guys and what did they do with the Jaguars"?

 

If you look at most predictions by people on this board, many don't give us a chance of finishing the season any better than 8-8 at best.  That means that we are going to lose at least half of the games.

 

It's not like I think that losing is acceptable, but if the team is going to lose, at least be competitive.  The Jaguars were competitive playing against one of the league's best teams.  Had this game taken place last season, the loss would have been by 40+ points with any points being put up by the Jaguars happening in the 4th quarter during "garbage time".

 

Despite the loss yesterday, I'm happy with what I'm seeing.  They will continue to get better.
