"Transcending player" in only a half of football?  How do you figure that?  Transcending players are Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady.  Bortles will have to have at least 10+ years of phenomenal quarterbacking in order to be considered in that category, much less only a half of a blow out football game.

 

He "looks a lot better than than any young QBs" you've seen in a long time, including Cam, Luck, and Wilson?  I understand it was a nightmare to witness Gabbert play, but can we all stop with the rookie worshipping? 

 

Five years ago, the same was said about Bradford by Rams fans; four years ago, Bucs fans said the same about Freeman; three years ago, Redskins fans said the same about RG3.  And I'm sure four years ago, some Jags fans said the same about Gabbert.  Can we at least wait until year three to declare whether or not Bortles can be a legitimate franchise QB, nevermind a "transcending player".
