Actually Ace is only out one more week. His first game back is Week 5 against the Steelers.
returning punts and kickoffs are two totally different beasts

 

returning kickoffs requires a guy with great straight line speed(which sanders is not)

 

returning punts requires a shifty, agile guy(which sanders is)

 

some players are dynamic enough that they possess the ability to do both(see: Hester, Devin)
