Alabama-Florida game had more Jacksonville viewers than Colts-Jaguars and Jaguars-Redskins games
|
Quote:Not a surprise. Jacksonville has been a college football town forever. Khan and crew are trying to change that now. It also fails to factor in the 60k potential TV viewers who are at the stadium and not watching a TV. Not really. However, this is really cherry picking quite the exceptions. You're putting up the Gators (the most popular college team in the area) playing a good game (in it into the third quarter) against a true blue chip opponent (Alabama) against Jaguars games that were against uninteresting opponents and which were blow-outs with no chance of come-back at halftime. With Bortles in the game we'll see more competitive play and the Gators won't be playing a blue chip opponent every week. Overall the Jaguars always have drawn and will continue to draw stronger viewership than the Gators. |
