Not really - expectation for Branch was to be cut last offseason.
And this GM and coaching staff have been quick to cut anyone that isn't part of their regime. He earned a roster spot and actually made some plays last year. He's still not a starter, but he's doing the best he can. He's done more than Clemons. Now, does he "suck"? No, I don't think he does. I think he's an average DE. He definitely isn't bad enough to start a thread in the middle of the game about how terrible he is. But that's just my opinion.
