Still terrible. No moves. Runs into a brick wall every play. Occasionally the QB runs right next to the brick wall and he gets a sack.

I kid.  I still have hope for him , and it seems the effort is there. He just lacks that ability to shed the block.  He's either pushed wide or held up the vast majority of his snaps.   Seriously lacking a "move."

I watched him all game, he has 0 pass rushing moves. Might be better as a line backer if he dropped a few pounds

Branch reminds me a lot of Bobby McCray's 10 sack season; he doesn't get into the backfield as much as the sack total would seem to indicate, but when he does, he hits the QB.

 

He had a nice play today hitting Rivers' arm causing his first (I think) incompletion of the game.

 

Branch isn't an all-star but I wouldn't say he "sucks." As a rotational d-lineman he's serviceable enough. Can probably be upgraded, but until then he's low on the list of guys I have an issue with on the defense.
