Bortles Mentioned In MMQB, Most Accurate Debut In NFL History

#6

Quote:Drew Brees in fact did have a better completion percentage in his starting debut.  His first game was only 55%, but he only played 2.1 quarters.  Though he also only had 19 passes.

Rodgers had 81% in his first start.  However, he played 2.6 quarters of a game before that.

Still, neither of them started a game in their first year.

From what you're saying here it seems the qualifier was left out of the article about it being a rookie in their debut, and not just debut in general.
