Windows 8 was Microsoft's attempt to get into the mobile market.  I actually liked the fact that they did something different on the desktop.  But the execution was bad.  I don't think Windows 10 really matters to me.  In the limited time I've used Windows 8, I always did a keyboard search to load anything, and typically avoided all their software and interface elements just to get to the program I wanted to use.  I don't really care about the start screen/menu, but it would be nice if I could get a taskbar suited for somebody with 20 to 40 windows open at a time.
