The thing is, Gene Smith is so savvy, so shrewd, that it's impossible to really doubt him. If you don't believe me, just ask Vic Ketchman. He puts the Gene in genius and between Reggie Nelson and Gabbert and Justin Blackmins and Bryan Anger I think he is really getting the job done. Caldwell too. His coordinators are just pencil-whipping guys left and right!

 

This is gonna be a quick rebuild guys. Remember, the rookies are young rookies. It takes time. The rookies need chemistry with the new coordinators so everyone is on the same page to keep chopping wood. Once we rebuild with these rookies we're only a couple more new coaches and a new GM or two away from a new rookie crop that will really have us on the road to rebuild!

 

 

I believe in Vic, you guys. When he speaks, I listen, I believe, I commit, I nod, I repeat, I call my bookie and bet the house on whatever Vic tells me!

 

 

Just believe guys. This rebuild will be over quickly. I know we made a couple mistakes along the way, as Vic pointed out, in not drafing franchise face quaterbacks who were just "pure winners" like Brady Quinn and Matt Leinart. Vic really loved those guys for how much they were just pure majestic handsome winners at quaterback. But it's alright because Wayne isn't selling and Vic just knows Gene is the man for the job. I know he would have felt the same way about Gus. I just know it. This rebuild will be over soon, my friends. As soon as Drunkin Blackman comes back, him and Mike Sims-Walker will hook up with Blaine Gabbirt  under the tutilege of offensive genius Dirk Koetter who will pencil whip the other teams! Then it is so on. Can't wait!
