The new CBA with heavy practice restrictions favors established teams that don't throw in on new coaches every few years.  You can only practice so much and "coach them up" so much during an offseason.

 

You make a good point, and I've thought about it before.

 

Relying on this many rookies with the current CBA restrictions was not a very wise move IMO.  

 

What needs to happen next year is an overhaul of a few units, similarly to how we did the D-line this year.


Adding a number of decent-to-good veterans on multiple fronts is what this team needs.  We can't just sprinkle in a guy or two and expect to compete.
