Your point?

 

Joeckel getting beat by Mincy does not negate the importance of the draft.

 

If your point is teams should use free agency and trades to supplement free agency the draft, then I agree completely.

 

If, however, your point is that if you want to build a winning team, it is preferable to emphasize free agency over drafting, I strongly disagree.

 

Oakland went heavily into free agency, and they have yet to win this year.

 

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!
