People will get what they want next year

Quote:Careful now, your credibility is at risk.  When you get smacked down by facts, it's usually a better option to show that you can admit when you are wrong about something rather than to try to spin it back into a half-hearted attack on the person that exposed you as a guy that will say anything (even things that aren't even close to being true) to support a position he's emotionally invested in (Gus's failure).  It should call into question pretty much every point you try to make and your motive for it going forward for those you hope to influence here.

Finding statistics on pro-football-reference.com doesn't take much effort, for what it's worth.  And it was actually an interesting exercise.  Imagine my surprise after looking up Gus's challenge record and finding it to be acceptable to then find that he's got one of the best overturn rates in the league compared to what many consider the cream of the crop of coaches.  I believe Ron Rivera has the highest among active coaches at 81%.  You don't have to like Gus as a head coach, I'm not saying that.  He hasn't been perfect, but know that not everything is doom and gloom as you tried to paint it.  As I mentioned above, it reveals how emotionally invested in his failure you are when you do that.  And why, as a fan, would you allow yourself to get emotionally invested in any type of failure for this team?

You still seem pretty invested in this.

Good job, though, you looked up challenge stats and showed that his tendency toward making challenges that have no chance of reversal are a recent phenomenon.

Really, though, my emotional investment in Gus is zero either way. My emotional investment is as a fan of the Jaguars team. If you want to argue that Gus isn't as bad as I think he is that's your prerogative, but you won't convince me of it. Gus will be the one that has to do the convincing.
