Yeah. I think we've known that LB was a major issue for some time and guys like Reynolds, Thomas, George and Fortt are long shots to be anything more than placeholders.  

 

Reynolds just happens to be one that has had his shot and couldn't do more than flash briefly before falling into mediocrity. Not an uncommon story for an UDFA.  I appreciate Caldwell giving a number of guys like him a shot early in a total rebuild. If one or two work out it saves tons of money for cap space and will at least serve to create depth in some cases.  Not a bad way to man a few spots until a quality player is drafted or signed. 

However -  Having two of three LBs addressed this way is obviously a recipe for potential disaster. 

 

Looking forward to some fresh talent at LB next season.
