The dude looked much like Henne for the first 2-3 quarters then finally made some decent plays.

 

Call it what it is but playing decent at the end of 1 game does not constitue progression and he has definitely regressed over the last 4-6 games.

 

In my opinion, he's having a hard time progressing at least in part because of poor pass protection.    A rookie QB with rookie WRs is bad enough, but not having pass protection makes it really difficult.   We don't know what routes those WRs are supposed to be running, but with them being rookies, I imagine some of those routes are not run at a high level.  

 

Put Blake behind a good, veteran offensive line, with good, veteran WRs, and you would see him play a lot better and progress a lot faster.  

 

The encouraging thing is, when the game was on the line at the end, he produced.  On that last drive, on at least a couple of throws, he stuck the ball into some pretty small spaces to guys who looked like they were covered.
