Exacly. To many people get hung up on the scheme thing. Almost every team runs both zone/gap blocking plays throughout each game. The difference is simple, their players are better than ours so they are successful and we are not.


If I had to guess right now I would guess that the only major change along the Offensive line we see going into next season is possibly a new RT. Joeckel, Beadles, Bowanko, and Linder IMO will be back with expectation that all the young guys take a big step forward in the offseason and the young guys better as a collective will help Beadles as well.


If Gus and Caldwell are true to their philosophy they will bring in quality competition to push or replace most of these guys and let them fight it out for a spot.


I also feel like Yarno not being around has hurt the group as well. Perhaps Butkus is not quite ready to be leading the offensive line just yet.
