We need to sign a bunch of vets on the OL next year

Like was said on the broadcast we are prob too young on offense, like 7 rookies has been major contributors

This past offseason we brought in 4 rookies and 1 vet on the OL, 2 drafted and 2 undrafted

Next year we need to sign proven vets, not big money guys just hungry guys that has been in the NFL for years, every year there are a bunch of vet OL getting signed to 1 year deals 2 year deals that just stick in the NFL.

We need those guys no more rookies on the OL, have all those guys compete, a LT, RT and G/C

You cant have your QB running for his life

Young was not a rookie, he's a 5th year vet.  He still sucked.  Mcclendon is the same way - veteran who got beat out by the rookie Bowanko.

Veteran Offensive linemen are hard to come by and they don't always pan out. However, they do need to focus on the OL. Draft a guard and tackle for sure..

Agreed. Team has talent, but it's young. Sign some vets who'll keep the youngsters in check. OL is a definite problem.

Case and point, Beadles is a below average lineman.

Which is why I said sign a bunch of them to compete, drafting 2 more rookies next year your just getting younger and younger, but FA is before the draft we need to have those guys in place. If its a really good prospect there yea you draft them, but we cant put ourselves where we are forced to draft more rookies on the OL

The good OL are re-signed by their teams, leaving below average to average players like Beadles available in FA for far too much money.

Jags will almost certainly draft someone on the OL - it's a good draft for OL so likely they'll use a mid-round pick on a right tackle and possibly add a young C/G.

A RT vet signed in offseason would be huge for this team. That would mean we could go stud FS or DE or LB in the draft early on.

If we can find a good one, then sure.  Hard to hit on FAs a lot of times also.  Look at Levitre that Tennessee signed.  Dude was ranked one of the top guards in the league then has flopped badly.

Of course we do have to make an attempt to improve our O-line regardless.  RT is a huge need.

Sign a RT in FA then add two depth players later in the draft and we will be ok.

@ryanohalloran: Texans four sacks of Bortles

1. Watt unblocked on boot

2. Watt unblocked/coverage sack

3. Watt beat Young

4. Reed coverage sack

Vollmer, Cherilus, and Andre Smith were all available in 2013 free agency. There were at least four others who weren't as good, but still better than Pasztor et al. has been this year.

@ryanohalloran: Texans' J.J. Watt went 1-on-1 against Sam Young 17 times (four wins), but was 0-for-8 against Brandon Linder and 0-for-9 vs. Luke Joeckel.
