We knew this team was going to be bad this year. They gutted the roster. A year from now this team should be in a better place if the front office knows what they're doing. Let's give it a chance.

That'd be like saying "What's the point in getting [fill in emotion here] about football at all?"

Your emotions aren't going to change anything regardless of what they happen to be. My point is that, if you are going to be upset about football, your team unquestionably being the worst is a valid reason for being upset.

EDIT: I fully expected us to suck this season, and perhaps even a few seasons from now. Doesn't change that I'm emotionally invested in the team and am not exactly happy to see us suck this badly.
