Prove It Year For David Caldwell

Quote:Fair evaluation, so the question is shouldn't the number 2 overall pick be able to make that play? LOL, I feel like you know exactly what the answer to this question is, and are ready to pounce on my response! There's really no right answer to this question. Of course LJ should have made the play. But, if you remember, he turned his head to see the blitzer, and then chose not to block said blitzer. I mean there are so many areas of suck-i-tude on the offense, the minute to try to analyze 1 play or one player you realize that there are multiple layers of reasons. The player's talent. The player's experience. The lack of coaching. The lack of proper practice. The lack of actual productive time in the film room properly breaking down senarios that happen in games. It's a poop onion. Each layer you peel off, the stinkier it gets, and all you can do is cry. Fortunately, this poop onion is only concentrated on the offense. I understand that the players need to step up. But our discussion began because I truelly do believe that the coaches should not be getting a pass on how bad this offense has been. Worst in Red Zone TD % in 2013, and 2nd worst in 2014 means that it's not just the rookies and O-line that are the problem. |
