Yeah, but there are three key factors there:

1. I believe (could be wrong) that the majority of the "line" on punts is made up of linebackers, making the responsibility to teach them how to block for punts solely that of the ST coach.

2. The OL coach teaches his players how to block on offensive plays. The ST coach teaches them how to block for field goals and punts.

3. Ultimately, blocked kicks and a miserable punt return average fall on the ST coach.

If the Jaguars lose games next year on special teams blunders, count me in the "I told you so" brigade. If special teams make a sudden turnaround with more experience on the units and Mallory proves to be a decent coach after all, I'll eat my words.
