Thanks,  86,   anonymous2112,  and everyone for your thoughts.     This game was easily in the top 10 Lions comebacks I've seen in my lifetime.      It was a near football miracle for the Lions to comeback and win this game.    Cowboys LT Tyson Smith,  who is a high quality young player,   made a mega mistake by holding DE Devin Taylor on a 3rd Down running play when the Lions had no timeouts left.     Though Dan Bailey kicked a 44 yard FG to make the score 30-24,   it gave the Lions Offense a little over a minute to go 80 yards.     In addition to Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson coming up huge on that drive,    Stafford's UGA teammate,   WR Kris Durham,   caught a 40 yard pass down the left sidelines.    Durham has improved noticeably in recent games and has come up big in some key spots this season.

Three former Jaguars deserves high praise for their performances today:

1.  Rashean Mathis.    While he was partially responsible for Dez Bryant's 2nd TD,    Mathis'  coverage was a key factor in keeping the Lions in the game during the time frame of the Lions 4 turnovers.    When Mathis has been relatively healthy this season,  he's been the Lions best and most consistent CB.   He's clearly the best former Jags player to play for the Lions in the last several years.    Even at the advanced football age of 33.

2.  Don Carey.    Nickel Back Bill Bentley was injured in the game.   Carey performed better as a replacement in that role than anyone could have realistically expected.   He also continues to perform well on Special Teams Coverage.

3.  C.J. Mosley.     It won't show up on the stat sheet but Mosley had two key pressures on Tony Romo.    I recall at least one of them being on 3rd Down.     Mosely's impact was in the 2nd half,  after Nick Fairley was limited because of an injury.

On the other side of the coin from a Lions perspective,   former Jaguars and Lions LB Justin Durant,  who seems like a part time player on the Cowboys Defense,   recovered Reggie Bush's fumble.
