But look at the rate of throws, percentages.....and rank in the league. Took me 2 seconds to find an article to back my statement up. Every team has to throw short passes, and some long ones to keep the defense on their toes, but as of 2 months ago we were ranked 15th on deep passes, and 29th on completing them(7 for 33). We just happened to throw more deep passes this past year, then we have since the last 6 years. Trying to find time to throw the deep ball nearly got Bortles killed taking sacks(55 most in the league), alot of them where his fault by not taking the right read, or throwing it away. We had the 6th WORST passing completion percentage in the NFL.....Geno Smith was above Bortles for heavens sake. |
