  The demand for the position should be greater than the supply of quality candidates.   It's a great oppotrtunity to advance.

 

  At the very least the previous 2 Ravens DB coaches went on to become Defensive Coordinators.

 

  First,  Chuck Pagano was promoted to Ravens DC.   After Pagano became the Colts HC,   Teryl Austin was hired to become Ravens DB Coach.  After Jim Caldwell was hired by the Lions to be the HC,   he brought Austin with him from Baltimore to become the Lions DC.
