Interesting to note Caldwell took Jags job over NY job.

Ryan for DC?

He's either going to be a head coach or be on TV.

I would love to see him in Oakland.

Not a surprise. Yesterday was embarrassing for them.

Bears GM fired too. Marc Trestman probably next.

Is it normal for multiple GMs to get canned in a year?

Two years ago, I remember quite a few GM jobs being open. Arizona, NYJ and Jags for sure.

I think Del Rio will be a HC again, but I think he'll wait for the right job and not mess around with a toilet franchise like the Raiders.  He got enough of that in Jax.  Maybe he'll just stay in Denver and be the HC there.

Well if he takes the job he can hire Mike Smith to be his DC, Koetter as his OC, and Joe Decamilis as his ST coach. Coaching staff complete.

If I were Del Rio, I'd stick to the Broncos for another ring, and find a better organization.  I would NEVER go to the black hole, that's where careers die.

As expected, both John Idzik and Rex Ryan were fired. The Bears also fired Phil Emery when they gave Marc Trestman the boot. So I decided coach and GM changes should be tracked in the same thread.

The only other coach who has been fired so far is (no surprise) Mike Smith. The 49ers and Jim Harbaugh made a "mutual agreement" to part ways because he already had decided to take the Michigan job.

Mike Pettine, Tom Coughlin, and Joe Philbin have already been told their jobs are safe. I think Ken Whisenhunt and Tennessee's GM are too. Tony Sporano and Doug Marrone are unsure about their futures.

In Oakland, Tony Sporano will get an interview, but I expect the Raiders to hire someone else for the job. Reggie McKenzie will be involved in the hiring process.
