2011 - 12 catches

2012 - 45 catches

2013 - 39 catches

2014 - 9 catches

 

When Bruce Arians took over for the Cards, the Cards preference for TEs changed

 

Houlser is a stretch the field type receiving TE and Arians prefers the Marcedes Lewis type of TE.

 

Housler has the speed to stretch the seam with 4.55 speed

 

Housler will probably be a lot less expensive than Clay or Cameron and certainly less than Thomas.

 

Houlser went to school at Florida Atlantic so a return to Florida might be looked at favorably

 

All in all, Houlser has the skillset the Jags seek and he could just be an undiscovered asset like Marks has become.
