If we pull every potential outside factor out of the equation and just take it as a given that Watt will remain the player he is today for the next ten years, regardless of system and personnel around him, and Houston won't draft someone who winds up being as good or better at three, then yeah, I'd take the trade.

 

If the question of, "Why is Houston willing to trade J.J. Watt?" enters the picture at all, I wouldn't do it.
