What you said above is logical in theory, but the cap gurus on these teams have proven time and again they will find a way to get the players they want at the expense of whatever if they think that one player will push them over the top...and you can bet teams like the Colts and Bears will think that with several of these players. 

 

Yea and the teams that "manipulate" the cap to free up space always pay it for in the long run (that certainly has to be on their minds), it's like maxing out a credit card, that bill will be due soon. Again, I don't expect the Jags to sign all of those guys, but wouldn't be surprised as our situation is unlike any other team in football.
