Quote:Free safety Devin McCourty is off the market, deciding to re-sign with New England late Sunday night. He was being pursued by several teams, including the Jaguars.

McCourty’s agent, Andy Simms, told the Times-Union this morning that the Jaguars were, "very much in the mix," before the Patriots stepped up.

"A very intriguing option to Devin before he went back to New England," Simms said of the Jaguars in a message. "That organization has a lot of positives.”

McCourty was also linked to the Eagles and Giants. His deal with the Patriots is for five years and $47.5 million.
