No surprise. We had no shot at him. Anyone heard about Moore or Parker? Both are nice players with either one upgrading the position significantly.

Revis is going to be interesting. Tomorrow he gets a 12,500 million roster bonus? They are way over the cap.

Man, our fans really do not know the names of players on other teams.

Jared Ogden.

McCourtney

Buluga/Baluga/Balaga/Buloga

And my favorite: Aug.

That would be me on the Ogden/Odrick goof.......but should I know who he is?

Its not like he's a big time player in the NFL and I haven't heard his name mentioned once during free agency until now.

I was hoping to sign Aug. He'd be a beast for us.

Losing the Aug sweepstakes is going to set this franchise back a decade or more. Book it. This is worse than not tanking for teddy.

He's a pretty solid defensive linemen, though not a highly publicized one. It was more just an inclusion on one of the bigger targets being McCourty(McCourtney), and Bryan Bulaga being spelled about 15 different ways on this site. And the auto correct changing Suh to Aug is kind of funny on the one thread.

This is why you build through the draft and not free agency. What seemed exciting a week ago is all but a [BAD WORD REMOVED] in the wind now.

wow, the F word for breaking wind is censored?

I guess it does not pay to pay attention to free agency till Tuesday. The names are slowly vanishing. More will tomorrow

He's a very decent 5 tech plugger with some pass rushing ability and could even conceivably rotate with Marks as a 3 tech as well. I would assume if we sign him he could very well replace Red Bryant as early as next year and maybe even sooner depending on Caldwell's plans at that position.

We cannot win even when we throw out a higher number and the team he re-signs with has a history of not showing loyalty to players not named Tom.
Only a chump boos the home team!

I read reports we were making offers to him so at least we tried.  It would have been nice to get him though.  Maybe we can get Rahim Moore instead.

I did read somewhere that with McCourty and Revis, they will be way over the cap but they are the New England Cheaters, they dont need no stinking cap.

I can see your point.

OTOH, he WAS a former first round pick.

Oh well...if he signs with us, you'll know his name.

If not...he slips back into obscurity.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

So he turned down more money from us and a few other teams to stay with the Superbowl Champions.  Guess there's more to it when some guys say "it's about the money".
