Quote:"Courageous Conservative" just feeds into the persecution complex that a few Republicans have. 


It's a smart move by Cruz though.  It'll be interesting to see what the first Democrats to announce their candidacy come out with.  It'll be hard for them to replicate Obama's "Change you can believe in"  Wouldn't be surprised to see the Republicans bring back the old "Are you better off today than you were four years ago?"   The Democrats used that one recently, iirc.  I can remember Obama asking it. 


The Democrats have a few moves they can make, but they'll have to do much better than they did in the midterm elections where their policy was to distance  themselves from Obama to pander to conservative independents.  


Cruz has set the stage.  How things proceed from here on out will be interesting.
