Teams that have used the H-Back in recent years have even used them with a traditional FB on the field at the same time.

I also doubt that we would ever see Toby as a 'traditional' fullback; however, I do think he might make a good 'hybrid' fullback. We know he can catch the ball, and he can block. He is also (occasionally) good for a tough 2-3 carry. I could see him used in combination with DRob as we did a few times last season. At least this 'hybrid' idea gives the team the option to try to get some worth out of the investment in him. If he can't or won't do this role, I could see him getting cut, especially if we pick up a promising RB in the draft. I suspect a lot of other teams might have already parted ways with Toby by now after such a miserable first season like he had here. It will be interesting to see if he can make it this season without getting injured; if he can't, I doubt he will be here next year.
