Troy Polamalu decides to retire after 12-year career

Quote:Yeah, I'm not getting it either.

Guy had incredible consistency, especially in his earlier years.  He won a game for the Steelers by intercepting the ball, one-handed, by the slimmest margin and then ran it in for a TD.  I couldn't remember which team he did it against, so I tried youtubing it and came up with this gem:

Not included: his pick 6 to beat the Ravens and advance to the AFC championship In 2008/2009 season, and eventually SB 43.  Which they won, unfortunately.

Not impressed with INTs?

How about sacks, or fumble recoveries.

Consistently getting juked or rerouted by receivers.

He made big plays don't get me wrong, but to say his play was consistent is ridiculous.
