If your sole reason is because of pitchers batting, why stop with only pitchers having a DH? You could open up a whole new niche for players that are only gold-glovers but can't hit to save their lives.
Yeah, for some reason I added them together before dividing.

 

So, basically your argument to have a completely useless player make an out every at bat is because you don't know where to draw the line.
