***The Official Schedule Release Thread***
|
From Peter King's article about the schedule:
Jacksonville. At first glance, if I’m Jacksonville, I hate the three-game road trip early (at Patriots, Colts, Bucs). Then I see the end of the season, and I really get ticked off: at Saints, at Texans. The article details how difficult it is to make a schedule while meeting the demands of the favored owners, popular baseball teams, top concert stars, and the Pope, while packing the prime time slate with the same darlings - Eagles, Broncos, Colts, Cowboys, etc. The Jags-Titans Thursday Night game happens only to meet the contractual obligation to feature each team in Prime Time at least once. It's usually a late season game they can promote as "The Race For The Top Draft Pick". |
