Jags might have a chance at Williams if Browns come up and get Mariotta
|
I was watching Brian Sexton interview Pat Kirwan, who I think used to be a scout, and Kirwan made the case that Williams is so versatile, he can play any position on the defensive line, and so talented, what you do is line him up against the weakest opposing offensive lineman and wreak havoc. Find the weak spot in the opponent's offensive line and put Williams over that guy. Opposing offenses have to game plan around Williams. Backs have to be kept in the backfield. Extra blockers have to be put on him.
That's a very attractive situation for our defense. Personally, I think the Titans will take him, and we will have to deal with him twice a year for the next 10 years. Let's all pray that Cleveland can make the deal for Mariota. |
