The buck stops with the head coach. But if you're the OC and the RB coach and you see this young guy who looks head and shoulders better than the old legs ahead of him, then you need to beat the drum until the HC listens. Maybe they did, we won't really know. But it's not like the HC had some major ties that prevented him from making a change.

This isn't some high-priced FA or draft pick that the coach was insisting on playing. If anything, its Olson who had the ties to MJD.
