 If a person believes that what Bruce Jenner did is wrong  ( which is what I believe is the case ),   my take is that Jenner's celebrity status will lead some others down a similar path.   Hence,  Jenner is hurting others.   I wouldn't condone what Jenner did even if he was unknown to practically everyone.   But his celebrity status far increases the potential damage under the perspective that what he did is wrong.

If we were talking about something random like trying to bring back bell bottoms, I can understand where you're coming from. Gender reassignment, as I understand it, isn't a fashion statement. The only people who can possibly be lead down a similar path are those who are already of similar heart and mind. I fully acknowledge and wholeheartedly co-sign that our society is too wrapped up in what other folks (read: celebrities) are doing and so forth, but not to the point that relatively normal, well-adjusted men are going to suddenly start taking hormones and prepping for re-assignment.
