It's not a matter of if they are able to deal listen to her and do what she says.....they have to, or there will be consequences.  If you start taking their cash for disrespecting a female coach, I bet they become more accepting.

 

I think you are missing the point here.

 

Yes, the players should be disciplined accordingly - but the fact is that most of these players have a tough time boxing in their egos. Ever heard of players getting coaches fired? Not saying that it would happen here obviously, but the slippery slope seems steeper. 

 

Being told they are the best for years + acquiring millions of dollars + playing in such an emotional and instinctive game = a recipe for disaster.
